My formal qualifications include a Graduate Diploma in Journalism and a Diploma of Publishing, and I am currently completing a Masters by Research degree in the discipline of Journalism, Media and Communication.

Through my studies in journalism and editing, and practical experience in these fields, I have developed advanced skills in concise writing and effective, targeted communication. As an editor, these skills help me to contribute to the clarity of other writers’ work.

 

Glenn Johnson, Professional Editor

 Over my twenty years as a professional electrical engineer and IT professional I have been engaged in technical writing on many levels. Having retired from those fields I have directed these skills to providing editorial and writing services.

I have a broad range of technical and business experience, including extensive writing experience for both technical and non-technical audiences.  I am a proficient user of Microsoft Windows, Linux and Mac OS X systems, and have maintained my study in the science of linguistics, human language and communication.  My IT industry experience spans 17 years and includes eight years in IT security.

I have a BE (Hons) from the University of Technology, Sydney, and an MA in Linguistics from the University of Sydney.
